Description

A monumental Japanese Arita Imari cylinder vase vividly hand decorated in strong shades of blues on a white ground depicting a pair of cranes nestling in a leafy undergrowth surrounded by a profusion of vines, flora and fauna continued all over the body of the vase.

A wide stylised band to the top and bottom of the vase completes the decoration.

In excellent condition apart from minor glaze firing blemishes as is usual in a piece of this size.

N.B. Would make an ideal Umbella/Stick Stand.
