Rarely found and beautifully modelled this Okimono study is of a young boy (Karako) seated and beating a drum, wearing traditional costume and coloured in typical early Imari enamels, c1880.

This very charming Okimono is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration and worthy of any major collection.
