Part of a Private Collection this wonderful example of a Meiji period, c1890 Japanese Banko Yaki teapot is of very good quality and is in excellent condition finely hand decorated and moulded with a profusion of raised enamelled flowers and vines with grapes and flying bird patterns set amongst a reed grass base all on a rough textured biscuit grey coloured pottery with the artists finger print impressions to the rippled base.
