Our Price: £160.00
Description

Rare original 1968/1969 Kay Teisco Tuilip ET-220 Spectrum Japanese Electric Guitar. As the legend goes these were good value guitars made by Teisco in Japan (The Teisco brand name stands for 'Tokyo Electric Instrument and Sound Company'. Teisco was founded in 1946 by renowned Hawaiian and Spanish guitarist Atswo Kaneko and electrical engineer Doryu Matsuda)..Sold via Woolworths this brand was long derided but in recent times this model in particular has become better appreciated and is now highly sought after and collectible.

This model is believed to be the one that Eric Clapton played in his early days.  .

This fine example with the original two pickup configuration appears to be totally original and in excellent condition for its age with only the usual wear and tear, pitting and minor surface marks and scrapes that come with its age (See photographs). As is common with these guitars the tremolo arm is missing.. The neck and the frets have clearly been looked after over the years and still have plenty of life in them.

The Guitar comes complete with the option of a wall hanger or floor “A” frame stand and new soft good quality gig bag for an extra £20.00.

An excellent package for the Collector of genuine Vintage Electric Guitars.
