Description

A Superb Fukagawa deep bowl from the Meiji Period c1895 and Signed to the base.

Decorated by the second son Chuji Fukagawa of Arita as referenced on pages 64,68 and 92 in work of reference "Japanese Porcelain" by Nancy Schiffer1800 - 1950,this wonderful bowl features hand painted geometric Kimono pattern designs and Imperial stylised beautiful Ho - Ho bird central reserve to the inside of the bowl and two coiled dragons to the outside.

In excellent undamaged or restored condition and a must for any Collectors of High quality Fukagawa ware.
