A beautiful and quality large Japanese Fukagawa Arita Imari Porcelain Inverted Baluster Vase, dating from the late Meiji Period, c1910.

Fine quality potted porcelain body with underglaze blue and red flower spray with some overglaze gilding, vivid blue leaves with highlighted veining making for a wonderful three dimensional look.

With original wooden pine box signed with makers mark.

Also signed to the base of the vase with the Fukagawa 'Koransha' orchid mark used from c1900 to 1920, this beautifully decorated vase is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear and use commensurate with age. 

A very good example.
